Praise the Lord! I just experienced a new healing from the Lord on my back, which was broken in three places years ago in the airplane crash. Throughout the years I have used prayers of faith and the following promises from God to help gain or maintain healing in my body. Paula also used these and more, to be permanently cured of terminal cancer (without chemo or radiation or further surgery). You can benefit greatly by meditating on God’s Word for healing until you have complete victory. Below are some of God’s precious promises for your healing. But first just a reminder about something practical that really helps–it’s about avoiding stress.
Avoiding stress is essential. Stress has many harmful effects on the body and damages your all-important immune system. Your main challenge might be in recognizing and avoiding the many sources of stress, which comes in many forms and is often labeled an “invisible killer.” Stress can show itself either physically or emotionally, and both can cause physiological damage. Be on the lookout for what stresses you are dealing with… and then learn to manage it and also avoid it, as much as possible.
Now let’s get to those wonderful Bible promises. I’ve added a short Intro to the Scriptures for your convenience. God wants you well. It is His nature to always heal. Meditate on the following words of life dear friend….
God’s Word is health and life.
“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:20-23 NKJV
God’s Word will never expire.
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Matthew 24:35 NKJV
“But the Word of the Lord (divine instruction, the Gospel) endures forever. And this Word is the good news which was preached to you.” I Peter 1:25 AMP
We need God’s Word to sustain life.
“. . . Man shall not live and be upheld and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 AMP
Success requires trust in God.
“Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.” Proverbs 16:3 AMP
Your choice matters.
“I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19 AMP
God’s benefits include healing.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:1-5 NKJV
God’s Word is healing.
“He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”Psalm 107:20 NJKV
God wants you to live.
“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Psalm 118:17 NKJV
God promises His children a long life.
“With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:16 NKJV
Jesus bore your sins AND your sickness.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.”Isaiah 53:5 AMP
You must take authority over the sickness in your body.
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 18:18 NKJV
Agree with someone for your healing.
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:19 NKJV
Have the elders of your church pray for your healing. (Make sure they believe in healing and follow the instructions in the Bible.)
“Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides), and they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name.” James 5:14 AMP
What you “believe” matters.
“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24 NKJV
What you “say” matters.
“So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:22-23 NKJV
Fear is not from God… rebuke it!
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7 NKJV
Cast down thoughts and imaginations that don’t line up with the word of God.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” II Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV
We can have confidence He hears our prayers and answers.
“And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness), which we have in Him; [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.” I John 5:14-15 AMP
“And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive.” Matthew 21:22 AMP
Obey God.
“. . . We ought to obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:29 NKJV
What is faith?
“Now Faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” Hebrews 11:1 AMP
We live by faith.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” II Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
Establish your faith for your healing.
“So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).” Romans 10:17 AMP
“He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness.” By His wounds you have been healed.” I Peter 2:24 AMP
“And a great multitude came to Him, bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the dumb, and many others, and they put them down at His feet; and He cured them . . .” Matthew 15:30 AMP
“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity.” Matthew 9:35 AMP
“And all the multitude were seeking to touch Him, for healing power was all the while going forth from Him and curing them all [saving them from severe illnesses or calamities].” Luke 6:19 AMP
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases . . .” Psalm 103:2-3 NKJV
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8 NKJV
“Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.” Romans 4:21 AMP
