Freedom from Sin – Capt. Dale Black

Freedom from Sin – Capt. Dale Black

Sin. It’s a word we often hear, but rarely embrace for its full weight. As believers, we may think it’s a topic that’s “already been dealt with”—but the truth is, sin is something we still confront daily in this fallen world. The enemy doesn’t stop trying to draw us into temptation, even after we’ve accepted Christ. Whether it’s a fleeting thought, an action, or a lingering attitude, we are all tempted in ways big and small.

In Romans 14:23, we’re reminded: “…whatever is not from faith is sin.” It’s not about being a failure when we’re tempted—it’s about realizing that, as Christians, temptation doesn’t disqualify us from salvation. However, it can make us lose that precious, intimate fellowship with God. Think of it like this: Just as Jesus washed His disciples’ feet to cleanse the dust of the world, we too need to continually wash off the dust—the small sins that creep in day by day (John 13:10).

The Power You Forgot You Needed – Capt. Dale Black

If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve already made the most important decision of your life—choosing to follow Jesus. That’s incredible news. But here’s a serious question I want you to think about: are you filled with the Holy Spirit? Not just once. Not just occasionally. But daily. Because if we’re not walking in step with the Spirit, we’re vulnerable. We’re more likely to get pulled into the chaos that’s unfolding all around us.

Act or Wait? Discerning God’s Timing – Capt. Dale Black

Act or Wait? Discerning God’s Timing – Capt. Dale Black

Act or Wait? Have you ever found yourself at a crossroads, wondering, “Is it time to step forward? Or should I wait and trust that God will move?” It’s a common dilemma for anyone walking by faith—and the answer isn’t always clear. Scripture reveals a beautiful balance between movement and stillness. Sometimes, faith demands a bold step forward. Other times, it calls for a patient heart that waits with expectation. Both require trust. Both require action—just in different forms.

When Judgment Knocks: A Warning to the Church. Lately, I’ve felt a deep stirring in my spirit—a warning I can’t shake. The Lord has impressed on my heart that we are standing at a precipice, much like in the days of Noah. Jesus said in Matthew 24:37-39, “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

The Call That Changes Everything

The Call That Changes Everything

It’s amazing how just two words can hold the power to alter a life forever if they are spoken by the right person: “Follow Me.” Those words, spoken by Jesus, are more than an invitation. They are a challenge. A challenge to step away from the ordinary and pursue something far greater. When Jesus spoke those words to Matthew, everything changed. Matthew was sitting at his tax booth, going about his daily business, when Jesus approached him.

Flesh or Demons: What’s Really at War Within You? – Capt. Dale Black

There’s a battle happening all around us—one that’s been raging since the dawn of time. It’s not fought with swords or shields, but in the unseen realm where the destiny of every soul is at stake. This battle began in the Garden of Eden when humanity’s perfect relationship with God was broken. Since that moment, two powerful forces have been at work in our lives: the sinful nature (the flesh) and demonic influence.

Strength in the Storm: Trusting God Through Every Test – Capt. Dale Black

The battle is real, and it’s happening all around us. Every day, we face a choice—will we walk in the fullness of God’s promises, or will we allow the enemy to steal what’s been given to us? Jesus made His mission crystal clear when He said: “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” — John 10:10 (NKJV).

The Battle For Your Mind – Capt. Dale Black

We like to believe that we’re in charge of our life and that our thoughts are our own. Is that true or is our “mind” more vulnerable than we think? Is our mind territory that the devil targets? And is it possible for the devil to get inside our mind and give us thoughts? These are important questions that will be discussed in this article: The Battle for Your Mind.
